Last weekend we skipped the Denver rain and went south. But it still rained. The usually dry, dusty plains were covered in happy, blooming cholla for miles and miles. On the road, we stopped at a small Lake Isabel. Popular for fishing and kayaking, this little lake was fun to walk around and we managed to avoid the nearby rain clouds.
There were lots of wildflowers around the shore, but my most favorite were the patches of wild daisies. There was no shortage of activity, as each flower seemed to have its own bee until I scared them off trying to take pictures.
