A Garden Walk

It was a beautiful weekend to visit the botanic gardens, sugared up from french toast and slowly sun-beat as the hours passed. It’s still a bit early for many of my favorite flowers. Most of the peonies have not bloomed. There are very few pansies on the streets. But, the gardens have sprung to life with lilac and tulips and poppies. The bunnies and ducks ran amock, undisturbed by the people around them while we chased the couple early blooms and happy bees.

Surrounded by lush gardens and extraordinary care, this little flower blew into the cracks of the sidewalk and decided that was good enough.
