Storm Mountain

” Only paper flowers are afraid of the rain. ” – Mary Quant

We woke up in the morning up to smoke from a far-off wildfire blocking out the sun. It seemed like the perfect day to head up to Storm Mountain, which had been set ablaze by the Cameron Peak Wildfire just one year prior.

Despite the destruction, new life had sprung up in place of all of the charred trees. Later in the night, we watched lightning light up the mountain in a spectacular show.

Fortress of Solitude

The scorched rocks and burnt trees made for a surreal experience.

Growing Again

Flowers had started to take over the previously burned forest floors of Storm Mountain.

Black-Eyed Susan

Storm Mountain was covered in fields of beautiful wildflowers.

Road Runner

This coyote made a quick dash across the road into the trees.
