Chatfield Farms

My lettuce has finally reached salad potential. There is a little carrot top poking out of the soil. It seemed like the right time of year to go visit a farm. We got to see chickens and ducks and butterflies and all of the good stuff that farms have. It started raining on us as we were walking around, but we didn’t mind. It was nice to get some fresh air and a change of scenery.

Bawk Bawk

One of these chickens had just laid an egg.

This busy bee hopped around to every flower.

This feeder was a popular destination for the monarchs.

The black swallowtails were shy. They wouldn’t sit still for more than a second.

These daisies were a fan favorite of the butterflies.

Storm Clouds

A thunderstorm was rolling in just as we got to this big red barn.
